Addelynn | Watermelon Minis in Spring, Texas

Miss Addelynn is absolutely precious! I mean, this girl showed up looking like an OshKosh B’gosh model at this beautiful location in Spring, Texas. I was super excited when her sweet Mommy contacted me for Watermelon Minis as these are some of my favorite sessions to do! They’re such a fun way to capture the essence of summer, and even the kiddos that tend to not love having their photos taken let their personalities shine during watermelon sessions! :)

These sessions won’t be offered again until next year (2020). For current and upcoming mini sessions, click here. Thank you for stopping by, and I look forward to working with you in the future!

Cerone Family | Bluebonnet Family Session in Spring, TX

The weather here in Houston, Texas is pretty wild and unpredictable, no matter what the weatherman may predict. March and April (depending on the rainfall that year) are generally both months that we have tolerable weather, though it is often rainy. The day this session was supposed to take place was SO COLD. Mom and I agreed to reschedule for the kid’s sake; it was pretty miserable outside and not a good environment for trying to keep toddlers happy!

This location is at one of my favorite local parks between Spring and Humble. There is a beautiful patch of bluebonnets in the spring-time just big enough to make it look like a field, even though it’s terribly large. It also works year round and offers many different types of foliage, structures, colors, and textures. Not to mention the fact that the sun goes down just in front of the park, giving us stunning sunlight to work with!

Current mini sessions being offered can be found by clicking here. Bluebonnet minis will be offered again in the Spring of 2020.

Finley & Lydia | Watermelon Mini Sessions

The two could NOT be any cuter! We took these images on their grandparents ranch in Cat Spring, Texas. Finn and Lydia were SO excited about their watermelon that this session was such a breeze! We picked a location on the ranch with pretty flowers. tall grass, and gorgeous sunlight that made for the most picturesque backdrop. Sunset sessions are all I do (aside from newborns, of course) - because the light is absolutely worth it!

So thankful to these beautiful models for helping show off what I’ve got in store for Watermelon Minis this year! A super simple set up keeps the focus on the kiddos, and I’ve selected a location in Cypress, Texas that will be absolutely perfect for this session. It offers a dirt road. large, stunning trees, lots of green foliage, and a perfect sunset sky.

Monica & Toni | Houston Maternity Photographer

Monica and I worked together for several years and quickly became work besties. I knew from the first day that we’d get along well, even if our general manager thought she was too young for the position after she completed her working interview. That might be why I fought harder to keep her there, because I’d also been passed over for promotions in my early twenties because I was “too young”. I’m so glad the general manager reconsidered and agreed to giving her a chance as I gained a life-long friendship out of it!

Monica and Toni are the funniest, silliest, sweetest couple! When Monica texted me to tell me she was pregnant, I somehow knew what she was about to say before she said it, and I was SO excited for them! We started planning her maternity and newborn sessions right away, haha. We ended up changing locations as we’d initially planned to go out of town to our ranch in Junction, Texas for her session, but decided to stay local and ended up at Mercer Arboretum, which just happens to be one of my absolute favorite locations. Each time I shoot there I find a new angle, a new beloved spot, something different than the times before, and it just never gets old.

Ready to book your session? Contact me here! We’ll pick a date, I’ll help guide you in outfit selection, and we will select a location that fits your style. Together, we will create magic tailored to your vision. Want something in particular that’s unique, or different? Let me know! I look forward to hearing from you!

Chadd Family | Houston Family Photographer

This gorgeous session took place at Mercer Arboretum in Humble, Texas (just outside of Spring). It has become one of my all time favorite locations! This park just has SO much to offer, and its gorgeous year round. In the fall when the flowers aren’t out as they are in the Spring, there is still plenty of picturesque foliage, and when paired with evening sunlight, it makes this place magical.

This super sweet Mama opted for a half session, which are only offered during the holiday season. It’s a perfect session for anyone not quite wanting a full hour session, but also feels like a mini session may not be enough. This unique session length yields enough images to share as soon as you get them, while still saving a few to use for Christmas gifts.
